So what have we been up to in the woods?
Eden-Rose Coppice Trust want to keep you up to date with what we are up to in the woods...
There all always lots to do and plenty of new projects underway.
So don’t forget to check back regularly to find out exactly ‘what’s going on!’.
Wheelchair friendly footpaths
Following the coming together of corporate help in supplying materials, hard work by volunteers, private contributions and a run of fair weather the wheelchair footpaths have now been completed.
Immediately their use has been tested by colleagues and school children alike and has proved very successful. The look of “natural”, working in difficult criteria, has worked well as was the use of recycled materials where possible.
Part of the 300metre wheelchair footpath stretched over the newly restored pond area and planting of over 520 wetland plants has ensure this area will be a popular resting area. With access now becoming very popular with those that enjoy the privacy and tranquility of the wood, the urgency of the hygienic toilet facilities has become critical.
New picnic glade
Following hard work the picnic glade by the small pond has been completed.
