Nurturing growth: Volunteers continue work on orchard project planted in 2023

Spend some time 'with nature'

Work is steadily progressing on our new orchard, a project that began with careful planning and planting in 2023. This thriving space, which now boasts over 15 carefully selected specimen trees, has become a testament to the hard work and dedication of our volunteers.

Since the initial planting, volunteers have continued to nurture the orchard, regularly monitoring the health and growth of each tree. Their efforts include clearing overgrown areas, managing weeds, and ensuring the young trees have the best possible conditions to thrive. Each tree, chosen for its suitability to the local environment, is an important part of the orchard’s long-term vision – to create a flourishing green space that benefits both wildlife and the community.

The volunteers’ commitment to the orchard project extends beyond maintenance. They are also working towards creating an inviting and educational space where future visitors can learn about sustainable growing, biodiversity, and the importance of preserving natural environments.

With every passing season, the orchard stands as a symbol of collective effort, resilience, and hope.

Thanks to the continuous work of our volunteers, this vibrant space will continue to grow and provide beauty, shelter, and inspiration for many years to come.
